That`s probably due to one of your contacts having a nick or avatar you wish you had. One solution is to ask them where they got it from, while another is to have a tool like Huhu Clone.

Huhu Clone is a plug-in to add to Windows Live Messenger or to Messenger Plus which lets you exactly and immediately copy the nick, the DP or the PSM of any of your contacts, in other words clone the characteristics of their MSN.

If at any moment you are tired of the new nicks, PSMs or DPs, then Huhu Clone lets you restore the old ones.
